Zillies

Ocracoke is already one of my most favorite places in the world. My husband and I were married in front of the lighthouse in 2008 (after two 911 calls from our wedding party - #1 a wrecked moped and #2 a dislocated shoulder from boogie boarding, but that's a different story). This vacation, a treat for my birthday, was so relaxing, peaceful, and thankfully uneventful. The weather was so much better than forecasted, I have a feeling it will set the tone for the rest of the spring. Like the island itself, I was impressed by how simply grand the cottage appeared. Thank you for your hospitality.

We have to thank you for letting us stay at this awesome, cozy, relaxing, romantic cottage. Everything we could have needed/wanted was here. We put the gas grill to good use, as well as the fabulous outdoor shower. (I think we only used the indoor shower once each the whole week!) Have to say you utilized every space of this cozy cottage very well. The reclining couch is awesome, and having the flatscreen TV/DVD's and iPod speaker dock was above and beyond. The WiFi worked perfectly as well. We're going to miss having our own private beach! Zillies Pantry is the best store to stay behind by far - don't mind all the bottles in the trash... We also have to add that Dajio was a pleasant surprise - best Fried Chicken ever!
Can't wait to come back!

Thank you for sharing Zillies with us! We had an amazing vacation... which has left us refreshed and renewed, ready to tackle the "real world" again! The house is great and exactly what we needed. You both have provided all the little extras in this house and it definitely made a difference! We loved the bikes... and of course the outdoor shower that everyone raves about. I hope you enjoy your upcoming stay as much as we did.

Dear Jeff & Wendy,
What a wonderful time we have had here at Zillies! We do not want the week to be over. This was our first trip to Ocracoke and we absolutely loved it. We enjoyed bike riding around town and not having to use our car so much! We also tried many of the local restaurants and had a few glasses of wine over at Zillies Market. You neighbors, David & Roy, are delightful and we enjoyed chatting with them. One of our favorite things we did this week was to go clamming! Matt used to go on the Long Island Sound so he was very excited to go out here. So glad you had a bucket and rake to use. We made some great stuffed clams one evening on the gas grill. Thank you again for everything. We have enjoyed staying here so much and will definitely be back in the future. Your house is lovely and a wonderful retreat from our busy lives.
