Jeff & Wendy!
Thanks so much for allowing us to use your cottage for the week. It was absolutely perfect. We loved using the back porch to relax, read and grill out. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to use your bikes. We really enjoyed exploring the island and visiting all of the shops without having to take the car everywhere. Some of the highlights of our visit included a visit to Portsmouth Island, a trip up Hwy 12 to see the lighthouses, Kitty Hawk, and the Lost Colony; and Molasses Creek at the Deepwater Theater. We ate at many of the restaurants and they were all delightful, but the Sweet Tooth really caught our attention. All those sweet treats were fantastic! Probably most enjoyable and relaxing time we spent was at the beach. Visiting Ocracoke has been an absolute joy - very relaxing, to say the least. Thanks again for allowing us to use your cottage.
5th Year Anniversary

We had a wonderful time staying at Zillies! This is our second trip to Ocracoke and this island has become one of our favorite places to visit. Our stay on Ocracoke this time was our favorite so far because of your cottage. We had everthing we needed in the cottage to make us feel at home for a week. We spent the week relaxing at the beach, riding bikes around the island, and watching the beautiful sunsets over the sound. Also we enjoyed walking on Springer's Point (Just make sure you take the bug spray)! Thank you for allowing us to stay at Zillies and we hope to come back next summer!

This is the perfect little beach cottage - I'd like to just uproot the whole place and take it home with us! So quaint, so pretty & it has everything you need! Having bikes at hand anytime you want w/o renting them was great... as well as the beach gear and such nice kayaks. We took advantage of it all. We even went clamming & crabbing one day on the sound side. Caught 130 clams & 7 crabs & cooked up a mighty feast that night. (clamming gear's under back deck too!) We did so much and so little on Ocracoke - all at the island's pace. Zillies is a great place to just "be". No agenda was refreshing here. Every morning we shared a cup of coffee & just talked & relaxed in the rockers off the bedroom patio. Zillies was refreshing from our go-go-go pace of home. Oh - and the outdoor shower - WOW! It's now on our list of "wants" for our home. I only used the indoor shower once after the discovery of that baby! Every little touch here at Zillies was appreciated - like the reclining couch to just veg out on & take in a movie on the nice TV.
